Here’s a new one,
Have you ever tried printing something on recycled paper? Thousands upon thousands of trees are cut down each year to make paper products. Do your part to save some trees by purchasing some recycled paper. You can also help by using less paper towels, napkins, or paper products in general.
Good luck during competition season!
Hey teams and friends!
This week’s challenge is to turn the heat down. Even a few small degrees can make a difference in the energy consumption and your electricity bill. So, not only will you be helping the environment, you’ll also be saving money!
As build season winds down, The WiredCats are looking forward to participating in the GA FIRST scrimmage this weekend and testing out our robot. Good luck finishing up your robots!
It is time for green challenge round 2! Today’s challenge is to recycle your dead batteries. Throwing away batteries is harmful to the environment so by recycling them at a household hazardous waste (HHW) facility or mailing them in, you are both preventing harmful chemicals from entering the environment and also allowing materials found in batteries to be reused.
Atlanta-based teams can recycle find places to recycle their batteries at the Call2Recycle website.
Thanks for staying green!
